Additional income source

You initially help me set up my business via the Chambre de Metier a couple of years ago.
This is our main source of income for the family roughly around  €30,000 last year 2021 and will be similar this year 2022.

Last year we decided to rent out our home on a short term basis over the summer at the time thinking it would be a one year option, we were using an agency to manage the booking’s and payments and us taking care of the linens,  cleaning and changeovers, we made a gross income of  €19,475 and we also registered with the local Marie and Meuble’s de Tourisme and received a 4 star rating,  allowing us to get a 70 % reduction at tax time.

My question is do we need to register our home as a separate business know knowing that we will be doing this again this summer and probably moving forward for a few year’s.

Many Thanks
Nick
