Appropriate regime for a consultant with only one customer?

I am an auto-entrepreneur from a former job (translator) which I have wound down to almost nothing since taking up a new role as a consultant with a United Nations agency based in Geneva. I work from home in Paris. This is a full time job that runs generally in the form of short contracts of 3 months or 6 months with some months gap in between. As I have just one employer I am not sure that I can continue to work under the auto-entrepreneur regime.

If this is the case, what would the appropriate regime? I really have no idea what to do and I don’t know any of the the taxation or other implications of the different structures. For example, if the auto-entrepreneur regime is the most efficient in terms of charges and tax, then I would look into taking up some translations again in order to have more than one employer, although this is not ideal. Would you be able to illuminate what I would have to do to regularise myself?
