I have read on the forum that as an auto-entrepreneur I have to show my income on my tax return here in France. The question I have is that in 2009 I worked as a builder and declared some labour which I paid 23% on and supplied some materials which I paid 13%. To break even on the supply of materials I have to charge approx. 115% the cost of the materials so that when you take off the 13% of the gross you end up with just over the cost of the materials. Like any business I have to make a profit so on the materials I actualy charge a 25% mark up. Here is an example.
- Labour: €1000
- Material cost: €1000
- Material mark-up: €250
- Invoice total: €2250
- Invoice total: €2250
So I pay €230 on Labour and I pay €162.50 on materials. So I make €770 on labour and €87.50 on materials. How do I show this on my tax return?
