Auto-entrepreneur turnover limits?

I am slightly confused by the auto-entrepreneur turnover limits. I understand that the annual limit is around 32,000 euros. However, is there a quarterly limit? The reason I ask is because for the 1st quarter of 2012 I will be turning over less than 8K.

For the second quarter I am likely to turnover considerably more,probably around 15k. Will this automatically take me out of the auto-entrepreneur system and into EI - regime reel simplifie? Or can I stay in the auto-entrepreneur system providing I only turnover say 5k in the 3rd and 4th quarters - which is very possible, based on my projections. My income is always likely to be very sporadic like this and it is difficult to delay invoices.
