Best option for an English teacher?

I am an English teacher and I live in France and work in Geneva, and already have employment with a school where all of my tax is at source. However, I recently got work with another school and they have just informed me they need me to invoice them from next month via a French registered business. From the little research I have done so far it seems that auto-entrepreneur is the best option but I have some questions about it before deciding to do it.

Are there any standing fees for having an auto-entrepreneur or are costs based purely on earnings? Will having an auto-entrepreneur affect my tax in Switzerland, or is there something like a threshold to the earnings before anything is affected? Can my wife also use this auto-entrepreneur to bill for proofreading work? With having an auto-entrepreneur, would I then be eligible to benefits I couldn’t access before, e.g. health care? How long does it take to get an auto-entrepreneur set up, and would you recommend an accountant to assist? Is there another option that I haven’t considered?
