My wife used to work for a UK company as an employee. When we moved to France they removed her from the payroll and call her a consultant/self-employed person. She has no set hours, and invoices them monthly in UK pounds and they pay her into her British bank account in UK pounds.
She does all her work remotely via a hosted desktop from France. Converted, her income is about 1,000 euros a month but it varies. She would like to set up as a micro-entrepreneur is that the correct thing to do? She is unlikely to have any other sources of income in the future.
