Can I change my SARL to an auto-entrepreneur business?
I have my accountants poised to close down my SARL so that I can start on the auto-entrepreneur scheme. Was hoping to close the SARL on the 20th and start the auto-entrepreneur on the 21st. The accountants said this was possible. Telephoned the chambre de commerce today to ask if I can go in to fill the auto-entrepreneur form in person and the lady working there told me that the majority shareholder of a sarl can not stop the business and start asap with the same activity in an auto-entrepreneur scheme.
If there was to be a delay before I could re-start the company in an auto-entrepreneur, I expected it to be maybe a maximum of 2-3 weeks but she’s just told me that I would have to wait a year before I could do the same activity under an auto-entrepreneur scheme. The accountant said that the auto-entrepreneur can be interpreted in may different ways but wasn’t any more forthcoming. Is the year delay true?
