Can I get a grant to help me start my business?
I was previously made redundant from a salaried job and have since been claiming chomage. My right to chomage ends in May 2011 and I would like to start a business as a travailleur independant. The problem is, that the business is based on sales, and it is unlikely that I will earn any money for at least six months after the business starts. I cannot afford to live on nothing whilst I wait for sales to be processed and therefore I am worried that the business will fail before it gets a chance to start.
Is there any scheme or facility whereby I can claim money which replaces my unemployment benefit or receive a grant for the period up until when my business starts to make money. My main worry is that after my chomage ends I will have no money coming in to pay my utilities/living costs.
