Can I have employees as an auto-entrepreneur?

I am currently registered as an auto-entrepreneur and was wondering if I am able to have employees under this regime? I am considering opening a retail store, however, as my French is not very good my only option is hiring someone.
- Could you please advise on what I need to consider in doing this.
- What would I be required to pay in terms of salary, remunerations, contributions etc.?
- What are the benefits, disadvantages and / or additional costs of hiring employees?
