Can we maintain our UK Limited Company?
We have a SARL in France, with the same name as a UK company we used to run. For the last year (since we moved to france) we have just been running contracts through the SARL in France, and taking the remaining money from the UK company as a salary.
My question is whether we are allowed to keep the UK company open and run a few contracts per year through the UK company, while living permanently in France. In our tax declaration this year in france, we declared all the revenue we took from the UK, and this seemed to be ok.
We have some UK contracts, who may prefer to work through the UK company. This is why I’m trying to understand whether it would be ok to run a small number of contracts through the UK company, and just declare this in our tax declaration each year. If not, we’d probably make the UK company dormant.
Thanks!
