Carnet de commandes and bilan?

I am going to change my status to profession liberale. I am preparing my papers and I wonder what “carnet de commandes” means. When I google it, all I can find is a notebook! Does it mean an invoice?

Also, my lawyer said it’s better to bring a “bilan” but it seems like all the models I found online are too complicated. I have had only one client and I don’t track my expenses either… (Should I have done it?)
