My wife was a solicitor in the UK before we moved to France and she has registered as such with the Renne bar to maintain her profession - entitling her to contribute to CNBF/LPA). She hopes to continue advising UK clients from France online and by phone. She is currently discussing whether this is possible with the SRA in the UK, HMRC in the UK and various authorities in France.

Whilst doing this she is considering the appropriate business structure to use but is finding it almost impossible to find out accurate cotisation rates. Service-Public.fr quotes a total rate of about 33% of income for cotisations - assuming an income of around 30,000 euro. When we spoke to an English accountant living in France he stated that it was more like 70%, which would make the business activity unviable. Is there any information, in French or English, which would better inform here?
