I am registered under auto entrepreneur as a retail business, I supply customers with goods only, I do not fit or install them myself. I do however sub contract the fitting to other registered people of my choosing. In effect I go to see the customer, advise on choices available (I source goods mainly in the UK) sell them to the customer and then arrange fitting for them via sub contract. My business is in the main supply of replacement windows.
Can you advise if I need any insurance myself, as the retailer, as I have been told by my insurance broker I should have insurance. However they also say I cannot purchase the insurance as I have been set up for over 6 months (registered for 5 years)?
