Do I need to get birth certificates translated into French?

Auto-entrepreneur set up November. Visited RAM and RSI to force their hands to issue attestations due to husbands pending hospital procedure. 7 months down the line my husbands file has a problem. RSI / RAM now want a translated birth certificate for him and refuse to issue his carte vitale until they have it.

In Feb they asked for mine and daughters to be translated which we did but RSI told us that my husbands did not need to be translated. I have compared notes with other local AE’s and it seems that not all RSI offices are asking for translated copies of birth certificates and have issued carte vitales on British certificates. We were never asked by CPAM for translated versions.

What is the rule here because from where I am sitting it is one rule for one and another for someone else. We are constantly given conflicting info from staff at RAM and RSI and I have now started taking names and getting signatures for mail sent to them. I am exhausted with all the paper work that a simple system creates. I would hate to think what the other business systems are like. Is there a body that I can complain to, because this is another question that they keep avoiding. Can you shed some practical light an all this please before i have a nervous breakdown.
