Today I received a demand from Société des Auteurs, Compositeurs et Editeurs de musique (SACEM) for 89 euros for a music/entertainment licence for my business in France for 2015. Is this obligatory? It specifies that if we have cds that guests listen to in communal space and televisions etc. we appear to need to have a licence?
Our situation is that we have a television in our lounge, another in our kitchen in our main house, i.e. the bed and breakfast. In the separate gite there is a tv and a dvd player obviously for the guests as we do not live there. I am really confused, is this something that all gite/bed and breakfast owners need to pay?
