Do we need to get top-up medical insurance here in France?

Do we need to get any top-up insurance in France? Mutuelle du Soleil have contacted us and are pushing to sell top up options. But can we keep to the minimum basic level (70%) and get a carte vitale? We do not have other private healthcare.
