Do you need private health insurance as a micro entrepreneur?

I am looking into getting private health insurance while I get registered in the French system.

However, do I understand it right that you have health coverage as a micro entrepreneur?

Does this coverage begin as soon as you register? Or is it still worth having private health cover while things get sorted?
