Ending business activity and impact on social contributions

I am a French-American, who has worked as a business consultant (entreprise individuelle) for the past eight years in France. I’m thinking of ending my activity to explore new opportunities.

If I end my activity, how will my social contributions be re-calculated? And will I remain under URSSAF or a separate entity?
