Extrait Kbis needed for profession liberale for CAF?

My partner and I had a phone call with CAF to assess our family situation and to see if we qualify for any aid. They said as we are both in auto-entrepreneur statuses we will need to submit an extrait Kbis first in order to set up a up a dossier that reflects our current situation. But from what I’ve read online, we are both in “profession liberales”, which are not “activité commerciales” so we are not obliged to set up Kbis? (I have 2 freelance activities: 1) marketing consultant 2) caterer and he is a freelance communication consultant.
Could you confirm this + explain what is Kbis and who needs it? Thank you!
