Final month of Pole Emploi after Creation D’entreprise - what now?

After being made redundant in France at the beginning of 2016, I set up a SASU to begin offering my communications services on a freelance basis. As I took no revenue in the first two years, I have benefited from my full allocation of ARS - my final month of entitlement is March 2018. I am then less than fully clear how I pay myself.

I know that a mix of a salary mensuel and annual dividends is fiscally smart. And I know that the actual % split between the two needs to be calculated by my accountant according to my situation. But my accountant speaks no english and although I am close to bilingual, the legal / accounting language leaves me less than clear what precisely happens from March, and I am concerned as I have significant monthly outgoings to cover from day one! (large mortgage etc)

  1. My chiffre d’affaires for the first exercise (April 2016 - September 2017) was ‘healthy’, and my corporate tax was paid in January. I believe my accountant suggested that to get things moving quickly, I simply needed to embauche myself using the legal process she gave me, and complete the form that would then enable her to create bulletin de salaire, and then I would pay myself a salary from end of March.
  2. She made reference to the dividend route ‘taking more time’ and didn’t seem to be bothered about it much, but my assumption is I need to agree what salary I’ll take per month versus what amount of dividends yearly, as soon as possible?
  3. When is the earliest I could take a dividend? I don’t want to have to pay myself ALL in salary due to the tax implications, but do need a full income from the day my pole emploi ends…. so maybe I will have to pay myself a relatively large monthly salary all the way through until the moment I can pay myself a dividend?
  4. With regard how much dividend to take out of the SASU, is there a formula of sorts for what is considered ‘healthy’ in the face of one’s chiffre d’affaires and net profit? (I say this as someone who has very little expenses as my business is purely advisory to clients).

Thank you!
