I have been a micro-entreprise business and then set up as an auto-entrepreneur in France since 2006. I have held a carte vitale for the same period of time. I am 60 years old and want to know how long my carte vitale will remain valid for if I stop trading with immediate effect?
If my carte vitale remains valid until I have reached age 66 then I believe I will earn the right to health cover by virtue of my 33 plus years of paying national insurance in the UK. However, if my carte vitale is not valid for the entirety of the next six years then I need to rethink my options.
Are you able to give a definite answer or any advice?
