French equivalent of ICO and data protection RGPD?

In the UK, I register my business with the Information Commissioner’s Office, for data protection purposes, in case I need to store/process any personal data. I rarely do, but like to pay the small annual fee, just in case. Is there an equivalent in France, for small businesses?
