Help with Taxe Professionnelle form exemption

My partner and I registered as auto-entrepreneur’s last month and have received our Siret numbers and have started working. It has all been very easy so far. We have now received a letter asking us to complete some basic details about our property for Taxe Professionnelle to be calculated:
- We are supposed to be exempt from TP for 3 years - is the letter we’ve received correct, i.e. does everyone receive this when registering as an auto-entrepreneur, or have they made a mistake?
- In the letter it says if we don’t reply they will use the rental value of the property as a basis for TP, so I assume we should fill it in and send it back even though we should be exempt from TP? Or should we write and tell them we should be exempt?
- We only use a small area of our apartment for business (a couple of desks in a spare room). On the form it asks what area we use for business - should we complete this with the space used for our desks, or the whole room space, or put zero because the room is also used for other non-business purposes?
We would really appreciate it if anyone else has experience of this and could offer some advice.
