Hommes tout mains - what’s in and what’s not?
My husband an I live in France for 6 months and in the UK for 6 months. We are domiciled and tax resident in the UK. I am Gerante of a SARL, and also salarie for another SARL - my French accountant completes both my business and personal French tax returns. My husband works for a UK employment agency during the French 6 months where he is subcontracted to my SARL. During the UK 6 months he is a self-employed builder’s labourer. He’s getting to old for this work and we’d like to spend just 6 to 8 weeks in France working as a handyman. He wants to do painting (internal & external), fitting kitchens and bathrooms (not electrics and plumbing as he’ll get someone in to do those bits) - more cabinet putting together, re-tiling etc.
Can he do all of this as an auto-entrepreneur hommes tout mains? If so, what are the charges involved in starting and maintaining an auto-entrepreneur business. Turnover would probably be 10k euro. Would he be able to get public liability insurance as an auto-entrepreneur?
