I am thinking of investing in a new hair salon, to help my hairdresser to start her own business. She has no money of her own, but she has the qualifications. My money will fulfil that dream for her. Points that I like to understand before I do anything are:
- As a British retiree, living in France, can I invest in business in France?
- What would be best way for me, to just forward money and let her manage the business, or should I be involved in management and running of the business?
- What form of company should be set up for the new business, auto-entrepreneur, SARL or EURL?
- What type or kind of contractual arrangement should l enter with her?
- Would I liable to heavy French tax on my investment?
- What are pitfalls in investing in business in France?
