I am an auto-entrepreneur and pay 23% in charges as per the scheme; however I am retired and drawing my state pension and my membership of the French system is now by an arrangement between the British and French Government. In other EEC Countries, like Britain, you do not pay National Insurance when you work after reaching retirement age so why do auto-entrepreneurs who have reached retirement age have to pay National Insurance in France?
