Is auto-entrepreneur right for me?

I want to set up a business to offer mosaic workshops/classes to individuals from my home. I am self taught and have no professional qualification. Initially I’m looking at a local market, so thinking of workshops of 2 to 3 hour duration on a weekly basis, with the possibility in the future of offering residential courses. I also want the flexibility to be able to create and sell my own work and do commission work.

1. After watching your video and doing some research online, I’m not sure whether mosaic is classed as artisinale or not, and I can’t find anything that says I need to have a qualification - can you help?
2. And if the auto-entrepreneur is the right régime for me, would I have to register as activités mixtes, as I would be profession libérale for running workshops, but commerciale for creating and selling my work?
3. I will have expenses as all the mosaic materials used by clients and for my own work to sell, has to be bought in, the quantities will be relatively small initially so it’s not a huge financial outlay but it is nevertheless an important percentage of my fees. Should I consider a different régime to the auto-entrepreneur?
