Is it appropriate to set up as a micro entrepreneur for a very small amount of business

My partner and I (non PACsed) live in France and are registered separately with CESU. We each have 1 new client, not French tax-payers, who have asked us to clean their gites, do handyman-type jobs and basic gardening, etc.  We would each earn around E4,000 maximum pa. We don’t envisage taking any more work than this.  Am I right in assuming that we each need to register as micro-entrepreneurs, probably as ‘homme toute mains’ maybe with ‘entretien de jardin’ secondarily, or is there any way we can simply declare this income on our annual tax returns? Thanks
