Is public liability insurance enough to protect our house?

Our notarie has said that we don’t really need an acte d’insaissabilite, he says no one can really take your house except the tax man. He also says that we would be taxed on the business use of the house, i.e. the office and that we would not be able to get a loan from the bank if we ever needed, because the house is protected. So, with this in mind would public liability protection be just as good, as really, we just want our house to be protected in case anyone should ever sue.
