I moved to the south of France 2 months ago because my husband will be working in Monaco for the next 2 years or more as an expatriate. I think he’ll pay income taxes in France. I would like to work as a part-time freelance text editor and writer (I do have experience) for Dutch customers. But our joint income in 2010 (en 2011 also) exceeds the limit that is set for auto-entrepreneur. Can I still be an auto-entrepreneur and maybe pay more income taxes because of higher combined income?
Paying a higher rate of income taxe is not a problem, but I’d like to avoid paying for sociale security while I’m not making any money, especially since I’m already insured for health and retirement by my husbands company.
