I’m sorry to come back to this question, but based on all the info, I find it hard to know which category I belong to, or if I’m able to get the benefit from ASS.

I open my situation here to clarify.

Background: I started my auto-entrepreneurship as a yoga teacher last year 1st of March 2019. I didn’t have any income in March.
I started only invoicing next month in April 2019. So there is no record of income in March 2019 to match this years income.

Now this year 2020, I got some income on my bank account in March, which is actually invoicing deposits for a yoga weekend in August. So in real life there’s no income in the month of March 2020, even though it looks like it.
Therefore on the paper it looks like the month of March 2020 was “good” and is not possible to use as a justification for the benefit. The trick comes here, because my real big loss happens in April this year, because my yoga retreat was cancelled 7th -12th of April. So basically the real loss happens (if you look at the bank account) in April.

Does this create a problem in applying for the benefit?

Can I still apply for the benefit? And If I can, on which basis?
Can I use a calculated average of my monthly income as the basis of the application even if I started my business 1st of March 2019.
Or is it likely that government hands out a same opportunity to apply for April if your numbers in March 2019/March 2020 don’t match?

I also spotted an interesting bullet in your blog post saying that a business is able to apply for the benefit if:

“Closed by decision of the administration or belonging to a particularly affected sector such as accommodation, catering, cultural and sporting activities, events, fairs and shows, transport-storage”

Could the quote before be a justification solely to apply this benefit as a yoga teacher on the basis of sporting activities?

I hope I’ll find clarity to this soon smile
Thank You Valerie!
