Operating a retail store as an auto-entrepreneur?

I have just registered as an auto-entrepreneur and was wondering if under this category I am able to open a retail store? Also, what the requirements and obligations of opening a store? Could you please advise on all the things that I need to take into account when considering to open one? For example:

Renting a premises - what do I need to pay apart from the rent itself?
How does renting a premises work in France and what are the normal terms… 1, 2, 3… years ?
Who pays electricity, insurance and what insurance is actually required?

Are there any fees or other costs associated with operating a retail store?
