I am a Canadian expat with a three year carte de sejour, my husband has a job here in France. We have a current business in Canada and are interested in importing nutritional supplements into France.
- Is it easier/beneficial to use the Canadian business and have an entity in France or to create a business here in France? I understand if I create a new business I would have to exchange my carte de sejour for a carte de sejour commercant. Which I hear is lengthy and can be difficult.
- The other issue is that we need to ensure that the supplements conform to standards and are approved to be imported. In order to do this, I need an account online with the DGCCRF and for that I need a sirene number. Is there a way for a Canadian business to obtain a SIRENE number?
- Is it possible to apply for a sirene, and TV intracommunaire number at the same time, or do I need an EORI number instead/also?
