Paying tax on rented holiday house?

I live in the UK and have a house in France, which I have started to rent out as a holiday let.

  1. Am I able to register as an auto-entrepreneur?
  2. I should probably have registered earlier but life has been busy and I have spent some time trying to get answers to questions. Is this likely to get me into difficulty?
  3. How do I register and is this the best way of paying tax for me. My turnover will be around 4,500 euros. After mortgage payments and expenses I will be in deficit. Will there still be tax to pay?
