Protect our assets with contrat d’insaisissabilité retrospectively?

My husband and I run a gite business in France and registered the business on the auto-entrepreneur scheme in May 2012. I have just read about the document contrat d’insaisissabilité that I think protects a business owner’s house (assets) should there be a claim made against them.

It seems that we may have missed the boat as I’ve read that this contract needs to be drawn up before registering the business. If this is the case, is there anything that we can do retrospectively? We do have a professional insurance policy in place?
