Surprised by changes to Micro-Bic limit in 2012
I have been running my gite business under the Micro-Bic regime for the last 20 years and I keep the turnover to under the top limit which is currently 80,300 euros. I am aware that I would soon loose the right to my abbatement of 71% if I didn’t have the classement prefectoral which I am in the process of obtaining. However, a surprise has reared it’s ugly head and I need advice. I have just learned that from 1/1/2012, without the classement, I am no longer allowed to have a turnover of more than the lower 32,100 euros limit. I will have to move to the reel system, but it’s already half way through the year and I have taken bookings to the value of 75,000 euros.
My husband has revenue foncieres on the same property which gives us an additional upper limit of 15,000 euros. Have you any advice about the implications of this? Will I be able to move to reel for one year and then back to micro-bic? Any additional information you have on this subject would be helpful.
