Timescale to hear back from URSAFF re auto-entrepreneur declaration?

I sent my declaration by post (because my town did not appear on the drop-down menu for on-line declaration) on the 30 July 2010, to the URSAFF office in Toulouse. To date, I have heard nothing, not even acknowledgement of receipt. Is this normal? I have tried to find a suitable e-mail address to enquire if they have actually received my paperwork, without success. Can anyone point me in the right direction please?
