VLS TS entrepreneur - profession libérale permit renewal
I have a VLS-TS “entrepreneur - profession libérale” visa/permit for one year. It has taken me (like others, maybe) much longer than I expected to settle in, rent an apartment, create the micro entreprise, and complete other formalities. I have been told that a micro entrepreneur should have made the equivalent of the French minimum wage (SMIC) in annual turnover by the time they apply for a permit renewal, and I’m worried about that.
1 - Is this true? And how flexible is the prefecture on this requirement in practice?
2 - What can microentrepreneurs do besides obviously securing more contracts and generating more revenue to increase their chances of getting their permit renewed?
3 - For example, would opening a savings account in France help to show that a microentrepreneur has enough resources to live on until their business is more established in France? I’d appreciate any other suggestions you have.
Thanks in advance for your help.
