What is AERL for auto-entrepreneurs?

Whilst doing our research for our project, I came across the possibility of having the status of AERL whilst being an auto-entrepreneur. From what I have found, this would be very interesting to us as it allows you to protect your personal belongings if there is ever a problem with the business.

  1. How do I register for this status once I declare myself as an auto-entrepreneur?
  2. What are the costs involved?
  3. Are there any hidden charges regarding this on top of the auto-entrepreneur social charges?
