What is the maximum time I can work in France using a UK business?

I only intend to be working for three months with my UK registered business in France.

However, should I get contracts extended, at what point must my business be registered in France, i.e. what is the maximum number of weeks/months that I can do that?
Is this related to how long I am here before being considered a part-year resident of France?
Would that be consecutive days here or a sum total within a given year?
