Which form of the business in France would be most useful for me?

I have a small company in another European Union country at the moment, turnover is between 35,000 euros and 60,000 euros and I want to quit it and start a new business in France. Mainly I offer design consulting services, but sometimes I also do art projects or produce myself or subcontract small product series for sales. I need pretty heavy machinery for prototyping, I own industrial sewing machines and also I want to set up small ceramic studio, so moving around is not so easy.

  1. Which form of the company would be useful for me here in France? As a design consult, it includes occasionally a lot of prototyping and work with materials, so it’s not solely intellectual work, if it makes any difference.
  2. Is it wise to wait 2017 or can I set up a company now? Or can I do it now and announce it will start 1 January 2017?
  3. I have been looking for a small studio-workshop, which could also serve later as a shop. Would it be wise to buy it or rent it?
  4. I would like to have something of my own, and maybe this would be useful, so I wouldn’t need to pay so much taxes if I invest into office?
