Will I get healthcare working for an Irish company?

I am an Irish person married to a French person and we moved to France 20 months ago. We have two children. Up until now we have been self employed and our financial position at the time entitled us to the CMU and a carte vitale. The opportunity has now arisen for me to work for an Irish company while living in France.

I wonder could you please clarify our position with respect to public health cover in this situation, where I would be working for an Irish company paying Irish income tax and social insurance but living in France? Our experience is that if the French see that we are paying social insurance in Ireland they will deem us covered under the Irish healthcare system and refuse to cover us here but we will have no access to the Irish system?

My wife has suggested that as her situation will not have changed that perhaps she and our children will remain entitled to cover under the CMU but I will not and should get private medical insurance to cover me only?I wonder could you please clarify the position?
