Wrong business structure for cattery in France?
We registered our business to start on 1st January. I don’t think the website autoentrepreneur.fr existed then because when I entered auto-entrepreneur in google I was directed to the website cci.fr/web/auto-entrepreneur I followed this and was eventually sent to the CFE website http://www.cfenet.cci.fr.
I registered and completed the form to set up an auto-entrepreneur. the forms and certificate of matriculation came back and off we went with our business. In April we received a demand from RSI for 1,493 euros to be paid in the third quarter and 1,493 euros in the fourth quarter. After discussions with others and reviewing this blog to see that other people have had similar issues I sent the demand back with a letter and copies of our certificate.
We have now received the same demand back so I asked a friend who speaks better French than me to contact RSI, after many phone calls we are now told that we are not set-up as auto-entrepreneur but a Micro-Entreprise. We have an appointment with CFE on Monday to start at the beginning as it were. If we are Micro-Entreprise can we change to auto-entrepreneur, I believe that it is their fault.
